Classical Chinese Garden

End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center

International Rose Test Garden

Portland's International Rose Test Garden is considered the oldest official, continuously -operated public rose test garden in the United States. Roses are sent from throughout the world to be tested in the Northwest climate here. The 5-acre garden in the Washington Park Neighborhood / Botanical Garden was founded in 1915 by rose lover Jesse Currey and delivers spectacular views of Portland and its backdrop of mountains. Open daily from 7:30am-9pm.

Japanese Garden

The Japanese Garden features five formal garden styles on 5.5 acres in Portland's Washington Park.

Oregon Ballet Theatre

Each season, Oregon Ballet Theatre presents four outstanding programs of dance including the popular holiday classic, The Nutcracker, and OBT's annual festival of new works, American Choreographers Showcase. Oregon Museum of Science and Industry

Climb aboard a real submarine, touch a tornado, travel the world in a five-story Omnimax theater, experience an earthquake and journey through the galaxy at the Murdock Planetarium.

Oregon Symphony

Called "a virtuoso ensemble" by The Washington Post, the Oregon Symphony is the oldest major orchestra in the West and one of Portland's great cultural attractions. Under the baton of Music Director James DePreist, the Oregon Symphony performs over 120 concerts annually at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall (SW Broadway and Main), from September through June.

Pittock Mansion

Pittock Manison is located up West Burnside Street in NW Portland commanding a view of five mountains. The park is open every day dawn to dusk. The twenty-two room mansion is open, everyday 12:00-4:00 p.m. Tours are available during that time or you can go self guided. Beautiful 1914 craftsmanship and elegant furnishings adorn the four story 16,000 sq. ft. mansion. Built by Henry and Georgiana Pittock in 1914, they were joined by children and grandchildren who lived here until 1958. Admission is $5.00-$2.50. Closed major holidays.

Portland Art Museum

Portland Center for the Performing Arts

Portland Saturday Market
West end of Burnside Bridge. Open every Saturday and Sunday, March through December.
Portland Portland Saturday Market, founded in 1974 is the largest open-air arts and crafts market (in continuous operation) in the United States. The vendors at the Market are individual small business owners from all over Oregon and Washington.

Sternwheeler Riverboat Tours

The Grotto

Established in 1924, The Grotto is a lush 62-acre sanctuary and botanical garden dedicated to peace, solitiude and prayer for all peoples of the earth. Here you will find spectacular views of the Cascade Mountains including Mount St. Helens.

World Foresty Center
